Steps of GRC Curing
GRC treatment is one of the important steps that the design goes through during manufacturing,
and the importance of this step lies in its major role in ensuring the product comes out pure and clean.
We previously discussed the steps of manufacturing GRC; you can read the article here.
GRC Treatment Method :-
At Ashpilia Arts, GRC goes through several stages during its manufacturing,
and one of the most important stages is treating the GRC with hydrochloric acid.
Function of Hydrochloric Acid
Hydrochloric acid is one of the mineral acids known to scientists since ancient times; early European chemists called it “spirit of salt.”
Hydrochloric acid is used in a number of fields thanks to its strong effectiveness in providing polishing and cleaning from impurities.

The Relationship between Hydrochloric Acid and GRC
The Ashpilia Arts factory follows an innovative and professional method in manufacturing GRC works to ensure the product comes out with a stunning aesthetic appearance and a texture that evokes the spirit of nature.
This is done by immersing the GRC product in a tank containing hydrochloric acid diluted with water for a period ranging from 15 to 60 minutes, then washing the product after removal from the tank with high-pressure water pumps to remove the calcareous layer from the product.
This process results in the following:
- Removal of all dirt and impurities.
- The product becomes clean and fully treated.
- A smooth, distinctive texture that evokes the spirit of nature.
